Mr. Relato is a CPA-Lawyer with an extensive experience in setting up companies in the Philippines and providing tax, corporate, immigration and labor services to multinational and local clients.

He assists foreign and local clients organize their business by providing advisory services on the most tax efficient corporate structure under Philippine tax laws as well as corporate registration and immigration services. He also provides tax outsourcing services to multinational and local clients, including compliance with the government mandated social contributions. He advises clients on employment matters and represents them before the National Labor Relations Commission and Department of Labor and Employment.

Mr. Relato handles tax cases before the Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Court of Tax Appeals and the Supreme Court. He prepares tax and legal opinions, reviews contracts and assists clients on corporate restructuring and dissolution. He also advises clients on customs compliance matters and represents them in post entry audits of the Bureau of Customs.

Mr. Relato worked as an auditor of Sycip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV & Co.), the local affiliate of Ernst & Young, and worked as a legal researcher of a legal process outsourcing company.

Mr. Relato was a senior associate at Quisumbing Torres Law Offices, a member firm of Baker McKenzie International, where he rendered tax litigation, advisory and customs work. He was also an associate of Du-Baladad and Associates, where he performed tax litigation work.

Mr. Relato was a tax manager of Punongbayan & Araullo & Co. (P&A), an affiliate of Grant Thornton Ltd., where he gained extensive experience in handling tax, customs, and corporate works. While in P&A, Mr. Relato played a key role in the engagement team that was awarded the prestigious Founder’s Award.

Mr. Relato wrote several articles on tax matters in various issues of the Business World. He was a faculty member of the De La Salle University-College of Saint Benilde, where he lectured on income taxation.

Atty. Relato was a partner at De Lumen Valdez Zamora & Associates where he was engaged in tax, corporate, immigration, labor and civil litigation practice.Atty. Relato was also a managing director of Synergia BPO Solutions Inc., an outsourcing company engaged in providing tax compliance, payroll and bookkeeping services.

Atty. Relato obtained both his accountancy and law degrees from San Beda College. He passed the CPA Licensure Examinations in 1998 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2005. He is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Albay Chapter, and the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).
